Need Help w/My EuroLights

I don't really need help, I just have a question about the retaining rings.
My eurolights came today, and as I was reading the paperwork included, it speaks of "grinding 2-3 mm of metal off the (inner) right & left hand sides of the retaining rings. Are they referring to the rings that hold the headlights in the buckets of the car, or what? The diagram shows a picture of a square with arrows pointing to the center of it. I just want to make sure that this is what they're referring to before I start grinding.

Here's what I'm talking about......You know, the more I look at this, the more I realize it has to be that. There is nothing else involved that's square. Oh well, I was going to erase this so as not to sound like a fool, but what the hell, I'm feeling a little foolish today, .....besides, it's better to be safe than sorry.

If I remember right it's just the ring. When you actually go to install them it'll be obvious which part you need to grind down a little. There was no question when I did mine but I just can't remember now.

I doubt I'll have to either, it was just when I opened the box, this page of instructions talked only about making sure the retaining rings had plenty of clearance or it would cause the housings to crack under the pressure and heat, thus voiding the warranty. I'll just check 'em before I tighten down.

Anyway, this is what the Blue/Gold ION bulbs look like before putting them in the housings. A few after installing too.

Thanks! That was the easiest mod ever! Remove the 4 parts from the package, insert each bulb into the housing (can only go it one way) pull the retaining clip down into place, pull old headlights out (takes about 2 minutes total) and install new ones, DONE.

Again, easiest mod ever. In fact it's SOOO easy, I think I'll buy a set of Pure Blue and maybe some Purple bulbs, just have on hand for special occasions. Unfortunately, I'm one of those guys who buys something, then see's something else I like better. This coversion kit allows me to do that now with my bulbs.

Definitely worth the 78 bucks IMO......

Glad you like them, I finally got around to installing my xenon-charged headlights and foglights yesterday. Sure beats the stock yellow lights.
