i think its absolutely awesome. looks like chads 94 a little... hood looks great. that must have been scary makin holes for the pins.

Hell yea it was. I've never drilled through carbon fiber before. I actually went to a coworker and borrowed his diamond tipped bit to drill it, I was so afraid it was going to split or crack, but so far so good!

Why did you put the hood pins so far back? And I would be careful about those lanyards scratching up the paint..

The lanyards are rubber coated. And about the hood pins being so far back, I had nowhere solid to mount it really, so I used the space where the hood bumpers used to be with some washers.

Really? Cause when i had to use the pins for my cowl I installed them threw the upper radiator support. They didnt go as far back as that and looked ok.

Thought this would be a good time to bring this up. Found this on Afterthoughtsauto.com... for those of you who want all the looks of hood pins but without all the drilling...

Not a bad idea if you like how they look. But when i had Epic painted and the guys fixed the hood latch to where they weren't needed any more, i opted to not have them.
