maaco.
no, seriously, maaco. just make sure you get the presidential package. its the 2-stage and it costs 1500, but thats better than any other place, and besides a bit of overspray to miscellaneous parts on the undercarriage and under the hood, its the perfect paint job.

for any shop don't pay attention to the name on the building, look at the cars going in and comming out (if tehy start with decent cars they probably do decent insurance work, if they look like they sat in a field for 40 years they do quickie dealer prep stuff) look at the finished cars if they have a good finish you can bet yours would too, if they look like the painter forgot his resperator for the last 30 years and took some acid before spraying then that's probably what you'll get

A guy in the southern part of michigan does painting, him and his grandpa I should say... they do a kickass job, painted his own car and my god... Said they'd charge somewhere a lil over 1000 to repaint mine, mostly being materials and a little labor.

Tony next time we meet up I'll give you the information to the guy that does all my body work. He does amazing work, I'll have to show you some of his custom paint jobs and he's very reasonable in his pricing as well. Not only that he'll be straight forward with you on everything he does.

It does need some body work but not bad! The gfx and front bumper have spider cracking. There's a lot of spots where the paint was chipped that i've put touch up paint on but it doesn't match completely and there's one spot where the door has two scratches that went down to the primer and i filled them in too. The color I want is metallic blue possibly with silver metalflake. I hear high quotes every time. Today i went somewhere i was told could work with me for under 2k on a paint job and it ended up being a complete waste of time he wanted more like 7-8k which imo is extremely unreasonable. Every part of my car pretty much has some chip or spidercrack or something so i don't want to do just certain panels. I won't take it to a place that i haven't heard does quality work tho.
