It will do exactly that. Trust me, those wheels look great with black paint behind them... Dont take away from your stockness.

I had mine painted black, and its just a ****** job, which Ill redo someday, but its perfectly fine to me.

Hmm, I really like the black like that(is that gloss?), I think thats prolly what ill do. Where did you get the chrome camaro letters for the calipers? How long have you had them, do they seem to be holding up well? Did you paint the whole caliper or just the smaller part? Did you remove the caliper for painting or just do it like the link I posted earlier? Did you use a paint kit or just high temp paint? What did use to sand the casting marks? Sorry for all the questions but I really like the way urs look!

I have done several of my friends cars calipers for them and I have done both methods, brush and spray. IMO, the spray holds up better and looks better. The picture that I posted is a spray job. I have also painted them while on the car and removed them and you get much better results by removing them. I paint the entire caliper and bracket, not just the visible areas. The paint I used is Duplicolor high gloss black 500 degree high temp paint. I also use Duplicolor adhesion promotor prior to painting them and Duplicolor 500 degree high temp clearcoat. You want to put 2-3 coats of clear on after the paint has cured. The decals can be aquired from Brent Franker(I hope its ok to mention his name publicly, sorry mods if its not ok). I recommend clearing over the decals. I have had mine done for a year now and they look almost as good as they did a year ago. The most important thing is the prep work. I spray them with brake cleaner and sometimes use Dawn dishwater to scrub them down with, depending how bad they are. I hope all of this helps.
