I had my old friend and his brother wetsand my Black 69 Chevelle before having it shot at Maaco, and it turned out sweet. As already stated, if it has a real good prep job done first, Maaco can actually do pretty good at spraying the paint on the car.

I would highly recommend "NOT" using rattle can primer on your car though bud........pay the extra to have them do it, or have someone you might know do it. I think you might be defeating the purpose of that great plan you got going.

This also means that the side moldings are coming off

should i buy a spray gun and spray the primer instead of spray cans? WIll it be that big of a difference?

here are some pics of my progress so far... all i got done was the spoiler taken off, and the front bumper and all the trim on the front. I am hoping to take my side moldings off today if it stops raining.
I know it looks like **** but i thought youd want to see it.

I plan on painting it just like the chop Grant did for me. I took my side molding off today and also put some filler on the flat spots on the front bumper. i'll get pics up as i get more done.

Well today I got a new door and a new fender to replace the damaged ones. I also primed my front ground effect and am almost ready to paint the bumper. Here are a few more pics of whatever...Notice my shirt with my car on it.
