Reverse Louvers on 4th gen Z28
I have heard from many Fbody enthusiasts that louvers just look bad on a 4th generation Fbody (Camaro, Firebird, Trans Am). And I have to admit they look funny compared to those on a 3rd generation (I loved my louvers on my 3rd generation, 1982, Black Z28. It looked good and helped protect the car.) And, I don't like that the only 4th gen louvers I could find are plastic and are held on by adhesive. See some 4th gen louvers at:

So, I was looking at my 4th gen, 1998 Camaro Z28, and trying to picture it with louvers and what I noticed was how easy it would be to make and mount Reverse Louvers. That is, louvers that sat inside the glass instead of outside. The window trim on the inside could easily hold them in. And, there is more than enough room for louvers inside the glass. Also, it wouldn't change the outside look of the car. Because they are mounted inside the glass they wouldn't need to be as rugged either.
So, do you think its a dumb idea or would it look OK? I'm almost interested enough to build a prototype and see. What do you think?

Yeah, she did.
As for the inside louvers, I really can't picture it. Is this something that's ever been done before? Maybe on older vehicles? I need something to give a picture of what you're talking about so I can visualize it.

they aren't really just held on by adhesive. They are held on by metal clips(that can be double side-taped or glued - this is the only adhesive) that go on the window with bolts in them, and they screw down, which can be seen in the picture. (top, bottom, sides)
