Yah, sorry to disapoint you Erik, but the only way to "remove" it would be to paint it like Danielle (Camaro94) did in that pic or take a saw to the center section like this guy did....
Other than that - not much else to do.

they weren't just chrome, they were black chrome... yes, the clear coat started to come off, and then the chrome started to come off with the clear coat. And unlike some people, I just couldn't afford to run out and buy a new set of wheels, I had to make do with what I had. I was going to forego the whole exhaust if I had had too, and buy ADR Cypher's in gunemtal(ask grant, he saw them, they are awesome), but they don't fit my car, and nothing else was cheap enough at the time. But this way, I got exhaust, and some decent wheels, too. I also like them this way. The chrome was a PITA to take care of, this isn't. If I get a scratch, no biggie, just repaint it. You were here, Brian, when I was blasting them and painting them. It was just last summer. Thanks for the nice comments on my wheels, guys.

First of all they were never chrome. I bought the silver painted ones to begine with knowing very well and good i was going to paint them black. Why didn't i just buy them in black? Gee thats a great idea why didn't I think of that... oh yah, cause at the time they didn't make them in solid black. Next question? :banghead:

hm...maybe im just bitter because epic would have been the most godly looking z28 ever if it just had a set of nice shiny chrome rims. Seeing the black ones on there is depressing imo sorry.
