I accidentally voted gunmetal, I think the machined black would go better with a predominately blue car, the colors not dark enough for black wheels to me.

gunmetal isn't black......

anyways, I think I may have the problem solved. Some of the worse 'pitting' and uneven surfaces can possibly be fixed. Now its really hard to inderstand how my wheels are messed up, so just bear with me. The pits are not really indentations, but there are ares on the wheel that are higher than the other parts. They are like little islands raised above the rest of the surface. So, I tried hand-sanding it last year, but I just couldn't get it nice enough that way, and most sanders are too big to try do such curved spokes.... So I'm thinking of trying to hit the worst places with my dad's dremel to sand them down. Then repaint the same color, and I'll still have my one of a kind wheels, and I don't have to dish out like $900 for new wheels and tires, I'll only have to spend like $50 on paint and such. Hopefully this works. Plus I'm going to clear coat more than last time, and they may have a little more shine.

i made this upreally quickly to show what kind of striping idea I was thinking about. Here are the original hockey sticks:

I threw them on my car real quick, with an additional stripe on the hood. The ones on my car don't have the pinstiping(which I want) I just threw them on really quick.

For along time I thought about the checkered flag stripes... but I just don't think they're me....
