FS: Cheap 1994 Honda Accord Ex-r
Well, its that time when you start choosing between 2 cars, and thus I made a choice!
For sale... 1994 Honda Accord ex-r ... Auto... approx 273 kms on stock engine...
I'll start off with the bads 1st:
- Needs a tranny... since the car was too low I made the mistake of going to a new neighbourhood with raised sewage cover, and bam... it cracked the tranny case and all the liquid just poured out... From 2 places I have been quoted abt $500-$700 for a used tranny replacement.
- One of the power steering lines are leaking, it leaks enough so you have to add a bottle every 2 weeks... this is something that can be fixed much easily along when the tranny is replaced....
- rust in the quarter panels and hood... I tried to fix it late last year... but it was a cheap job n thus didn't sustain... just started the bubbles quickly....you can check out the pics...I didn't bother with it because I was thinking of doing a full exterior paint job next summer....
the goods:
- Nothing wrong with engine, works fine for its age.
- all electrical lights, switches including the sunroof, cruise control works fine.
- Brand new lowprofile tires installed all around in april this year.
- Lowered on intrax springs (about 2' drop), the front is still stock struts, the back is Tokico blues.
- New Cat Converter with Magnaflow muffler. Passed E-test this February.
- As far as I can remember all 4 bearings have been changed, the rotors are fine, and the brakes at less than 50%.
- clear lights at the front, with cleared amber taillights.
- Stock Air filter with the stock airbox removed from the bottom.
- Oil changes have been done ebery 3500-4000 kms.
- Windshield have been changed recently too.
- New radiator this summer and thermostat was changed last summer.
- The power antenna broke, so just hooked up a antenna and left it on the front dash, works fine!
- Remote Starter with Keyless entry
Its a good project car, since I thought I'd paint it next year, along with usual tuneup. I was thinking abt sticking a 5-speed tranny swap, but I just dont have the time and money right now. Just replace the tranny, and you are good to go.
I'm just looking for a winter beater now... so putting this car up for sale at $2000 obo (tht includes valid e-test)....
Keep in mind the car does not run as the tranny is shot... so you would have to tow the car out yourself or come to take a look at it... located in brampton!
pm is the key or call at 416-716-9034 ... thanks!
bump..... !!!!!!!! prepared to negotiate!!!
