2nd gen question.

Ok I have a question, why do some of the early 2nd gens have front bumpers like this?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...513204211&rd=1

and others like this.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...513602099&rd=1

I have noticed it doesn't matter what year the 2nd gen is, their are two different front clips versions for all the versions from the early 70's.

the first one is a real rs, the second was an owner conversion aka fake

Why does the first one look like it has fog lights? Is that an RS package only thing or something cause their is a Z28 running around here that has the same bumper style as the first one.

rs could be ordered with z28, the first one those are the marker lights, there is nothing below the bumper (at least from the factory)

I wonder how hard it was to put that LS1 in the car from the 2nd link. I haven't seen many LS1 or LT1's in older muscle cars.

cheaper to build a ton of power from the big block than make the ls1 work at all

Most older muscle cars don't handle well stock anyway. You gotta invest in some serious suspension mods to make it handle right.
