bull honkey.http://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/techdb.shtml. my TBI 305 has alot more power than any 2.8 on there. I got some videos of Niceroc's 305 Iroc tonight. I'll get some more clips maybe and make a small video for everyone who thinks 305's are weak. shouldnt be too long but then ill have to get chad to host it.

305's stock are about 150 hp( going from memory) and modified are still not a good engine it's a bad design from any way you look at it

in perfect conditions brand new my car is 170 horse but close enough. the 2.8 says 107 or something. if you have a different cam and some modified heads whats so bad about the design?

the size of the cylinders is too small to have an efficient head design (to get a good head design the chamber is actually bigger than the cylinder bore) my 2.8 in my 3rd gen had more than 107 also

just goin by the posted numbers. is the DZ 302 the same way with the heads? all im saying is a lot of people look down on them but i think they can be pretty efficient for building a good street car.

o i got it, 305 has a 3.48 stroke but alot smaller bore, but thats why 302s were still good with the 4" bore but could rev like none other with there short stroke. yea that 305 design is kinda stupid but hey, if it can run 13's and lower than i like it.lol

You must not remember my vid of the 14.1 pass with a 2.23 60ft (street tires). 305 with a 170k on the bottom end.
