Question Any gains possible from LT4 intake?

I'm asking because I can get an LT4 manifold local for a decent price. If I did swap out the intake would I see any gains in power or is it not worth the time to switch intakes?

Thanks

well it can handle more power, it looks better and has longer intake runners with larger intake ports so yeah i would say its better

better potential, but you'd want to change the cam to take advantage of it

Chris haven't we gone over this before??

The LT4 intake is IMO overrated. I have talked to more than one actual performance shop that says there is virtually no gain over the LT1.

All it basically is painted red and port matched, kinda. I would bet $50 that you would see maybe 1hp puttin the intake on. If you buy it don't bother putting it on until you had heads and cam to take advantage of it.

Take your intake and shine it up and custom paint it. The LT4 is overdone IMO..plus not to mention a dead giveaway that you have been into the motor. At least you can say that you just painted your intake when in fact you might have thrown on heads and a cam.

From what I have heard, the only advantage of having it on a LT1 is that it has more room for porting later on down the road. Just more metal to work with. Thats it.
