a ton of people run scat cranks. and a ton of people run eagle rods. thats what it seems like to me.

69BadA$$ 02-13-2005 09:18 PM

im running all eagle stuff in mine....its all your preference i guess. i just like eagle.

archemedes 02-13-2005 11:24 PM

exactly both are decent companies and both have failures

JesasaurusRex 02-14-2005 12:22 AM

ya i mean the rods and crank are either gonna be eagle or scat. Since those are the forged pieces that are within a "reasonable" price. However ive heard a lot more horror storys about eagle than i have scat which i why im gonna get a scat crank. Rods...who knows might just be eagle but most likely scat as well.

Anybody have a "what they think" is a better cam. Everything else im already dead set on but the cam im not 100 percent sure of yet. Must be solid roller tho. Lemme know guys. Streetability doesnt really matter. Should be within the 3500-7500 rpm range duration wise. Also under .660 lift and over 600 lift with either 1.5 or 1.6 ratio rockers. Lemme know fellas. Also lobe seperation at 106/108 range.

desktop dyno desktop dyno :D pwwweeez throw em on there

archemedes 02-14-2005 01:59 AM

the first and third cams made about the same peak power but the curve was flatter with the first, about the same power as the first dyno I did for you. increasing the exhaust to .655 flattens it out for about 1000 rpm at 550 hp with the .640 it's about 500 rpm

archemedes 02-14-2005 02:00 AM

and the 800 cfm carb has the best curve

JesasaurusRex 02-14-2005 01:38 PM

Soooooo which was best lol

JesasaurusRex 02-14-2005 01:40 PM

Im just confused cuz of the 1st and 3rd cam one but i donno if u mean the 1st cam i chose (not listed on that list above) or the 1st cam out of the ones there. Just copy paste specs 4 me pweez. Really appreciate it arch.

archemedes 02-14-2005 11:37 PM
