Arch? Somebody? What is this?
Well the storm let up enough to let me out there with Epic for a minute or two. Found where the leak was coming from. Bad part is it's not straight from a hose. It's this plastic thing in the heater line going to the heater core. What is it? What does it do? Help...

Well i know it's part of the heater hose, i'm more refering to the plastic piece there between the two metal clamps. WHen the accident happened it aprears that this piece was pushed into the belt and a hole was burned threw it. Thats where the coolant leak is coming from. I just want to knwo what this part is and what it does. If' i can just bypass it with some hose or if it's necissary. Looking threw it it apears that the passage way threw it is smaller than the rest of the hose so....
If we do have O'Reillys I've never heard of them. Is that an autoparts store or something?

Looks like the rubber pipe I just replaced today on my car.. went from the water pump to the heater core.. it's just normal rubber tubing with some sort of string/thread that runs through it to give it more strength.. It looks bigger / smaller than where the clamps are cause it bulges from the pressure.
I am probably 100% wrong, but thought it was worth a shot.

I don't know what that is I never saw one, but the dealer parts people should be able to bring it up on their computer and tell you what it is (you'd have to buy the whole hose) just ask for price and availability

So that expains that. I'll bypass it with hose and forget about it. Thanks for trying guys but i guess thats the differance between a site that has just under 200 members and a site that has 51,000 members.
