is this bad?

ok so today i ordered my y pipe so i am gonna need to re use my catylitic converter. I cut it off of my old y pipe and when i picked it up a bunch of crap fell out... its the crap thats supposed to be in there too lol. Is this that bad that i should replace it? i was going to in the future anyways with a high flow one but im kinda short on money right now. if i need a new one anybody got one i could buy for cheap?

pull it out and run a gutted cat, when you need to get emissions done buy a cat to put in there and just switch them out.

yea that honeycomb stuff is what makes a cat a cat and not just pipe lol but yea definatly needs replaced especially if u need to pass emissions

alot of work for absolutly no gain, a high flow cat has been shown to not hurt hp at all (sometimes cars made more power than with a gutted cat)

ch yeah i found the magnaflow high flow cat on ebay a 3" one for like 55 shipped brand new. so yeah ill get that when i get the money and im probly gonna put a cutout in. WHere to put the cutout? before or after the cat?

before is louder, but may have more raspy sound open headers don't have a deep tone, that's one of the things a muffler does
