Ok, this is a set I found on ebay that look exacly like mine. The thing I'm curious about though is, are they going to be just another version of what I already have.......or will they be like these other ones I keep seeing in 4th Gen's? Unfortunately there's no way of telling unless I buy 'em and install 'em.

I guess what I was hoping for, was to have someone say: "yeah, those look just like mine, and here's a photo of them on during the day". Cause if you look at the photo I posted with the brick building behind my car, you can clearly see that they're not very bright......especially the drivers side. It looks like that all the time.

Ok, here's another set just like them. So which one ones do you think would be better? There's no way of really knowing!

wait a minute...bro...you need DRLs.

i kept thinking you had em, and so we're focusing on the lense. but ya know what, you dont need a different lense to project the light. the 3157 bulbs had two elements, high and low. high is only on for turn signals, or if you have a 97 and up or have a 4th gen from canada you get the high element on all the time. so its really bright.

unfortunately its not so easy to convert to factory DRL, so theres a way to do it with a switch. its tricky though cuz i used to leave it on when i turn my car off so i killed my battery a couple times. i did it on my v6 and i liked it, i just didnt like the switch.

maybe this is what youre thinking of, cuz the corner lenses youre linking to are the same as ive ever had and i can tell you, they dont get very bright, you need the DRLs.

heres the url and here are my pics on my v6, oh and that switch panel was later made of wood and covered with black vinyl:

Ya know what????......Both of you guys ROCK!

I've said it many times before, and I'll say it again......I will never be the one who actually does this rewiring, (I'm deaf, dumb and mute when it comes to understanding how it all works)....but rest assured it will be done!

This is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for, because honestly.....there hasn't been anything on a 4th gen Camaro that compares to how bright this mod will make it.

So now I have "4" wiring jobs that I need to hire someone to do for me. I need to find someone local that will come work for me for a full day @ $20.00 per hour. I'd easily pay someone $200 to wire my mods in. These are all 4 of the things I need to have done:

1. Manual Fan Switch w/Dual LED's

2. Whiteface Glow-Gauges w/Digital Converter

3. Sequential Turn Signals

4. Full-Time Running Light Conversion

Why can't I live closer to one of you guys that understands this crap. :banghead: Oh well, I'll find someone around here that will do it all for me......maybe I'll ask aroud in the new car club I joined.

Anyway, Thank you Caleb, and Thank you too Jim.....I really appreciate this. I know I'll be SO MUCH happier with this Mod.

i'd be careful with the one jpack posted. i dont see what allows for the turn signals to opperate. i know that with how i did it you'd need to turn it off at night in order to have working turn signals.

im sure it works though, i just skimmed through it.

It works and will keep the brightness even when your lights are turned on. Uses a voltage regulator and relay. I have actually had that website saved for when I had planned on doing it. What was shown will work just fine if followed.

I have a question though Jim,.....I could be wrong when it comes to this, but the way you posted looks like they're on full time. So at night they'll still be that bright won't they? Not sure if I actually want them that bright at night.

I know I'm definitely going to do one of these, but the idea of being able to resort back to stock when I want to, sounds a little better to me. I went outside this evening and turned my flashers on, and when they flashed bright, it was super bright. I'm just not sure if I want them that bright at night.

I actually found a set of clear corners that I was looking for, so I think I'll wait till I get them installed before I do this mod. Either way, I printed out both instruction sheets on how to do them, so as soon as I find someone to help me out with this mod, I'll make a decision then.

But still, I'm greatful for both of you posting these. Thanks again!

They make a darker amber bulb which might make it look better. I noticed in the black car they look almost like you used the clear bulbs. Maybe it's just because they're so bright that it looks that way.

I'm gonna have to agree with you on the clear bulbs at night. I don't care much for the tannish look myself. I actually like what the 4157NA bulbs look like when they're in the daytime running lights. (Newer C5 Vettes)

I think I've made it pretty clear by now, just how much I hate wiring when it comes to my car,......so I just hired a guy and his roommate from the Camaro Cruzers to install 4 different Mods I have that are just sitting around here collecting dust.

I have the Manual Fan Switch setup ~ the Whiteface GlowGauge w/digital conveter ~ the Sequential Turn Signals ~ and now the Daytime Running light Conversion. I offered $20.00 an hour to install these for me, as long as it didn't take more than 10 hours. I figure I'll pay someone $200.00 to do everything for me, so even if they're able to knock it out in about 3 or 4 hours, they'll still get the $200.00

Well, as I mentioned above......I really wish I lived closer to one of you guys.

Actually it doesn't bother me a bit to pay that much. After all, I'm single with no kids, so I have to spend my money on something......and since I quit doing all that expensive partying 3 years ago, I can afford to blow a few hundred every now and then.

I bet I would have had a lot more fun having you do it though Jim......cause don't you live close to Scott? (Macleod)
From what I got over the net, he seems like a character.
