My personal opinion on vehicles is as follows- If you can't pay for the insurance and car payment in one week's pay then its probably out of your price range. I know everyone's situation is different and have more or less other bills but thats what I go by. That way you arent' putting almost all your pay into one thing. When you end up doing that is typically when you get into trouble when you something else comes up that you have to pay for.

Matt- personally I think you would be happier with something that you could easily afford. That way you can actually have money left over to do things to it and make it your own.
I wholehartedly agree, a new car is nice, but not being able to put gas in it sucks

i know exactly what you are talking about steve and joe. my friend is suffering from the problem of not being able to put gas into his truck but thats his fault for not trying to get a job. he thinks his mom is going to provide for him forever but shes not thats why she has been giving him like 10 dollars every two weeks for gas. how far will that get him? not very...

anywho i went back and talked to that guy about the formula today and he said its still not holding a charge...i guess that was the problem. i asked if the price will go up once its fixed and he said if they put like 500 into it then yeah teh price will go up but he said since thats the price i looked at it he will honor that...my parents really dont like the car. i dont think they will let me get it. my mom said she just has a bad feeling about it. i realized my parents dont want me getting another sports car...not yet anyways maybe in a year or two but not now. it hasn't even been a week since i totalled my last one. im thinking about getting a lifted truck b/c i have gone off roading in the ranger before and its so much fun but its totally different when you have 4 wheel drive and big tires. i found an older s10...kinda rough shape...actually really rough shape but its about the same condition my car was in. its lifted about 6 inches has nice big tires and wheels, has an aftermarket grill and a light bar on the top. the bad- its in primer but has little rust on the body. the body is actually really straight no dents that i could find. the interior is in good shape...well whats left of it. it has no stereo and no headliner but the seats and everythign are clean. hes asking 1400 but i could probly talk him down to a reasonable price. the reason i want to buy something so cheap is b/c i realize that by the time i pay my dad back for my car and put some money away in the bank for w/e....i wont have any money left over. so that means i would have to borrow more money from my dad but its all good if he will let me

sorry for the long *** post i didn't even realize i typed that much lol

1400 for the s10 is about 1000 too much in primer it needs a body if there is already rust showing

theres only rust in one spot and its pretty common on a lot of trucks. right above the back whel on the driver side. like i said i just want a project car. that truck could be made really nice with time and not a lot of money. since its in primer i could do body work to it and not have to worry. its probly like an 89. i think it had 98k miles but not sure if it did thats low. i wont pay 1400 for it i know that but if i can get it for the right price ill consider it

i like blazers and broncos too but i like s10's just as much. broncos are hard to find around here that are decent and if they aren't half bad they cost too much. whats your opinion on this particular truck though? i think its pretty badass

top light bar looks funny and it needs fender flares but for a lifted s10 it's one of the better ones i have seen but pending on motor and tranny and 4wd condition i probably would pay just under 1k for that truck well maybe a little bit more if it's really nice mechanically

Seriously tho I think if you could get it for around $800 then yea cause it's not a bad looking truck, but you never know about how sound it is mechanically...

Since it looks like its going to need tires pretty soon I wouldn't pay too much for it. I would also highly recommend driving it first. Lifted trucks are a lot like modded cars. If it wasn't done right it going to destroy parts a lot quicker and you are trusting that someone else did the work correctly.

You guys remember SLpowerZ? Dave? He's looking to sell his 97 m6 Z, and I think he only wants like 5.5K. I think he'll take 5.
