Got my SS hood
EDIT:Ok so I got my SS hood last week and it looked awesome, but I got my car back today and they def rushed the paint and body work. There are a couple of bubbles in the paint (that will most likely pop open), plenty of waves, and some sanding scratches. I will take some pics tomorrow because it was raining today. I was so pumped to get it back with the hood on, and then so pissed off when I saw the job they did. Luckily my dad is friends with the owner of the body shop so they are going to redo it for free, but that will be another week without my car:banghead: . Did anyone else who did a hood swap for fiberglass have any of the same paint issues? You can barely see the waves in these pics and I didn't take close ups of the bubbles, but I promise they're there.

For real! I was so pissed! I'm like you've had my car for a week while I've had my wisdom teeth cut out and couldn't drive, now it's time to get it back and you've ****** it up!

Yea it sucks! I'm carrying it back to them tomorrow so that they can DO IT RIGHT this time! And I guess if they screw it up again I'll do the body work myself and then carry it back and have them paint it a third time. My dad and I did all the work on the Pontiac we restored and it turned out very slick IMO for a couple of amateurs lol. The same body shop did that paint job, but like I said we did the body work. Do they make a factory looking SS cowl that's metal???

Yea the owner is a friend of my dad's so they will redo for free, but it's still a hassle to be without my car for a few days. The owner does very, very good work, but his employees are uh...not as skilled. My dad is telling his the friend, the owner, to do the work himself this time.

I hate to double post, but I added some images today to my original post at the top. They're not great and don't reflect the blemishes well, but something to look at and the first images of my Z.
