wait before you do this...i was cruising the camarov6.com forums and found out that some of the guys with OBD-II have had the SES light come on when they took the cat out. with OBD-II theres an extra sensor after the cat, so you're pretty much screwed.

If theres an 02 sensor behind the cat I wouldnt bother messing with it. Would mess up ur air/fuel ratio. How bad I donno i gotta carb baby . Anywayz unbolt the back part. Take a stick or pipe or something to it. Just keep banging it till it crumples up (looks like a honey comb to begin with). Then turn on ur car step on the gas some to shoot it all out. Turn it back off. Go back under and hit away some more. Repeat and repeat till its all gone. Thats how i did it and it was relatively easy. Hope that helps. Ricer

you want it louder pull the muffler, just keep in mind loud doesn't mean powerful sounding (the fastest street car I have seen was quieter than many stock cars)

Arch you do have a point, but it sounds like he is just lookin for sound and not so much power, but it really doesn't matter at this point since he is OBD-II.

Cruise around and see if you can find a 02 sensor plug-in for it that would tell your computer your cat is fine. I know you can get them for the LT,LS-1's, but I don't know if it transfers over to the V6's..
