Yes...you read that right, i went from 3.8 to LT1 to back to 3.8 in 3 days. My z couldnt pass emissions, it failed all of the tests except the gas cap test. So we gave it back to the dealer and i got my car back from my moms friend. to get it fixed itd be 1400 (estimate from auto shop) So yah guys...im back to having a v6 and am looking for anther Z. Gimme a few weeks. wish me luck

I'm glad you got your car back that Z just had to many problems. The biggest advice I can give you is TAKE YOUR TIME. Don't ever buy a car on the spot. It took me several months to find my Camaro and I haven't regretted waiting for the car I really wanted once.

why are you concentrating on autotrader? check the papers in your area the large one have websites with the classifieds and you won't be paying the extra for the fees, the best deals are never found in a magazine. By the way glad it's worked out for you

Not to start a LT1 vs LS1 war, but did you ever consider looking for a 98 Z28?? They arent that expensive any more, and bang for the buck an LS1 is going to give you more ponies... Plus, you can get a car with less miles generally...
Is insurance that different from an LT to an LS???
Again, not trying to start an LT vs. LS war, just posing an idea...
