I Need Help/Advice

I have a 1982 Z28 body. No Motor and no trans. It was set up for manual from factory and so id like to put a manual back in. My question is, wat can i do to this car to make it 10 seconds in a 1/4 trak!? Im going up against a 95 Honda civic that has the Type R motor installed with 15K worth of aftermarket parts in it and Twin Turbo. Its a 10 second car. I want my camaro to do the same or faster with less cost. I thought of 383 stroker or just a good solid 350. But idk if that will do the job. I want to put a 427 big block in it but i just dont know. I know im gona have to have a bad @$$ 5spd transmission to handle it. but i want it manual no matter wat. I dont want it automatic. Id like to know with wat engine and wat all i should do to that engine to make it bad@$$ FAST! im going to make it posi trak as well but i dont know wat gear ratio i should make it...4.11? help anyone? lol

I doubt a 383 would get you 10 seconds, not N/A anyway. As per gears, 4.10s I would guess, I think 4.11 is a ford ratio, I could be wrong tho.

Unless you drop in a LS6 or similar motor, achieving 10's N/A is very hard to do. It requires fine tuning, and a ton of motor work.

I have a v6 camaro, granted its alot heavier, but it took quite a bit of money and tuning to get it to the 12.8's it runs now, making a honda, even if it is lighter, do 10's, is saying alot.

Honestly, if I was going to do it, i'd do it right. Drop in an LS6, throw on a turbo or twin turbo setup, and have a ball.

And if you do that, dont worry. He wont be able to do anything except smell your exhaust.
