I have a '81 chevy c10 with a straight 6 and I want to know what i can do for less than lets say $500 to get me more power. anyone have some ideas?

Is it a 292 block??? for under $500 all you could really do is put in a performance Carb and intake manifold To be honest it wouldn't be worth it for under $500 i mean you can put dual carbs etc but you have to budget atleast $1500....and in that case might as well drop a 350 Small block V8....and those are easily modifiable...
