IAC valve problems?

I installed a 98 Camaro 3.8 V-6 into my 2002 PT Cruiser. For some reason the IAC valves are burning up or shorting out. I'm on my third valve. This one only lasted one day. The current wiring configuration for the IAC valve that I have is for a 98 Camaro with a 3.8 engine. However, the IAC valve wiring configuration for the 95 to 97 Camaro with the 3.8 engine is different. I tried using the 95 to 97 wire configuration by replacing the pigtail wire connector at the IAC valve. There are four wires at the wire connector, and each wire is in a different location between the two configurations. The PCM is a stock stand alone for the 98 Camaro model. No other years are interchangeable. When I used that 95 to 97 wire configuration the IAC valve did not burn up or short out, like it is doing with the 98 wiring configuration. I have switched back to the 98 wiring configuration because my PCM is for a 98 Camaro and that is suppose to be the correct wiring configuration. Why do you think this is happening? Also, does anyone have the wiring diagram for the 98 Camaro IAC valve from the PCM to the IAC wire connector? I want to make sure I'm using the correct wiring configuration for a 98 Camaro with a 3.8 V-6, with a 4L60E rear wheel drive automatic trans. The vin code is (K). You can send me the diagram by email if you like to: Chevyone@hawaii.rr.com Thank you for your support, Tommy.

Yes, I sure do. I have well over 130 pictures with documentation under each picture. When looking, be sure to click on each picture to make them larger.
Hope you enjoy the pictures. Click on this link:
