I just purchased a 97 Cavalier. It has keyless entry, I was just wondering if there are any DIY manuals out there to make the horn beep when I lock the doors with the keyless remote

Im sure you can get a more definite answer from jbody website..

But first question.. does your car have alarm system ( OEM or Aftermarket )
If you don't.. than more then likely you won't be able to have the car beep.

Thanks, I'll give that site a try. No it doesn't have an alarm system, just keyless entry. Nothing big, I just wanted some way of the car telling me I actually locked the doors if I'm not close enough to hear the doors lock.

It bothers me too and no it doesnt have an audible system included...my cars the same no horn connection unless factory alarm included...

I was instructed to go to the dealship and ask them to program my car so this will work. Hopefully I can get down there this weekend. I'll let you know what the outcome is
