A little more help...

I finally got around to removing all my EGR crap. Since I got a PcmForLess tune I do not need it anymore. The only thing I have left to button up is the line coming out of the fuel line bundle. There is a plastic line coming out of the black fuel line loom that runs across to the EGR solenoid. My question is do I have to cap that line now that it is open with nothing connecting to it? Or is it a vent line coming from the gas tank? I don't know what type of line it is, so I do not know what to do with it. Can someone help me out?

im not sure what line your talking about, what do you mean runs across to the EGR solenoid? do you mean the small plastic line that runs across the engine in front of the throttle body then back up to a solenoid deal on the passenger side of the intake? thats EVAP but im not sure what else you mean.

yeah matts right. the egr vacuum source is from the intake not more than 3 inches from the solenoid.

You described the line perfectly. The line you talked about in the thread above is the exact one I am talking about.

Can it be capped or should I leave it open? Or should I put some type of filter on the end of it? I found out that the technical name for the line I am talking about is a "charcoal canister purge line". What should I do?

I removed all the emissions on my car except for that. Its there to recover fuel vapors. It should be on the passenger side of the intake.

You can remove the EGR solenoid on the driver side and all the plumbing too that. I just left the wiring for it right there tucked behind.

Since that is connected to the fuel tank I don't know if I would go and remove that. If you find out more info let me know since I would just assume remove it from mine and clean up the engine bay even more.

whats the point of removing all the emissions parts? They help your car run better ....the only thing that i've removed is the smog pump and i can understand taking that off to make room or to clean up the engine, but everything else....i dunno

im getting my car tuned friday and hopefully everything checks out with my EVAP that was acting up earlier but either way my AIR and EGR is gone cause of the "race" headers.

the smog pump only works during the initial warm-up but after that its off the whole time..so it is pretty much lame

I did it mainly to clean up the engine bay and make it easier to work on esp. since the EGR tubes run right over the valve covers.

That was the main reason for deleting all my stuff. I just can't find an answer to my problem. I have been driving around with it open and un-capped without any problems. The only bad part is a slight smell of gas vapors at start-up. I am not throwing any codes.
