LSD question
you'd think i'd know the answer...but i never noticed it in my Z, but my TA has a weird chirp in turns.
most driveways out of shopping centers and gutters n such are concrete. when turning, the inner tire chirps. i hate it cuz just my luck, a cop is right there and they give me looks.
ive heard something like this with a limited slip dif, that sometimes the tires chirp. but to my understanding, regardless of having limited slippage, theres still perfect differential action, and in turns both tires will be independent.
is this kind of thing just because im on concrete and i have ****** gripping tires or is it normal for an LSD...or is something broken in my rear end...AGAIN.

You might try puttin in some additive to the diff. How many miles are on it? Its unlikey that it will go bad since its such a simple part- if anything when it goes bad it will more than likely act like an open diff than locker type symtoms that you are describing..

well i rebuilt it back in february. new carrier, pinion, and axle bearings. so im not really worried about that. im worried about the clutch packs and stuff.
i used some limited slip additive that we had lying around the shop, i think its called posi-torque. i used the whole bottle like was instructed, and used 2 quarts of 80 weight gear oil.

lol sry but mechanically that makes no damn sense lol.. how it would break loose on a tire that has only 12lbs of air when the other side has 20lbs.. at least not from what i know about traction and tire pressure..

yeah its weird. lower pressure gets better traction. but it didnt really break loose. it was a squeal. so maybe the sidewall was wraping over itself or something...
doesnt make sense to me either, but once i aired it up it went away, then it lost pressure again and came back, now that its patched, its not there anymore so i know it was causing the problem.
