I'm pretty sure it is, because I know on the LS6 intake, the EGR tube thing isn't there on top of the intake manifold. I know for a fact that 01-02 came with the LS6 IM and the 98-00 came with the LS1 manifold. You'll see a nice little gain going from the LS1 IM to the LSX IM.

but if it uses the same block same size bore and stroke its the same motor, atleast in my book, one can be 10 times better than the other but none the less same motor.

I was told that since I already have the LS6 not to go with the LSX, it does work better but the price is to much to pay for just a few extra H/P so instead Im getting the Jet Chip, or some kind of bad *** chip that and I can have it alot sooner.
