Meguiar's Gold Class Paste Cleaner Wax or not?

This guy on Cz28 is claiming Meguiar's Gold Class Top Coat Paste is a cleaner wax, which I don't seem to believe as it's a carnuba and I didn't think carnuba waxes were cleaners... especially considering how much of a difference two or three coats do.

So is it a cleaner or not?

could be I have a bottle of mothers that came with my clay bar that says cleaner wax with carnuba (all cleaner wax means is it has polish in it so it's slightly gritty)

This definitely doesn't feel gritty at all. This paste is like butter.

Aight, that settles it, it's definitely not a cleaner wax. It's a carnuba paste "for clear coats."

Ever once in a while I throw on a coat of armor all wax, not the best but it is cheap.

I wax with Menzerna Intensive Polish, then Mernzerna Final Polish II, then Klasse All-In-One with a PC Buffer and Lake County pads maybe once ever 2 months or so, you see how it works for me

waxing way too often unless you strip teh wax each time it will start to dull teh finish (it's going to look like the stuff in the bottle eventually) I never understood the need people ahve to add a soft product to protect a hard product and shine enhancement is a farce too a properly polished paint job will shine as good or better than a waxed one wax will change teh color of teh car slightly also (unless you have crystal clear wax)

But an unwaxed car won't bead as well when it's wet. My three times a week wax job paid off big time today. I even wax my windshield, and today while it was pouring I didn't even have to use my windshield wipers because all the water was going straight up off the windshield as I drove. When I went out to my car after it had rained and it was starting to get dry and sunny out (around noon), I used my microfiber and gently swiped it along the car to pick up the remaining few beads of water and (until it started pouring a few hours later) it was clean as new.

I really want to get a porter cable and try that Menzerna Intensive Polish, I've heard nothing but good things and I've seen some amazing before and after shots. I like Klasse, tho. I put the Klasse on a few months ago, they say it lasts 6 months but I'll prolly redo it again before Camaro Superfest this year.

would you like to place a wager on that? a truely clean POLISHED car will bead (my cutlass parked in the woods after it's washed beads and has never been waxed or garaged)

When I said unwaxed I meant completely untreated paint. You can be technical and say polish is not wax, but both are a treatment to the paint and both do of course help in beading the water off... but if you polish, why not wax? You're half way there, y'kno?
