My car's gone slanty

Alright, I honest to god am gonna get pictures up soon, and I'm sure they'd help for this one. Here's the deal. My car has a 1" difference between the driver's and passenger's sides. The tires are all equally inflated. I measured from the ground to the top of the wheelwell. It's definately noticable.

All I've done to the car is replace the rotors, and attach the driver's side sway bar (the bushing or whatnot that originally held it on came off). I can't get the old one off of the passenger's side, as it's rusted like a mo fo, so I haven't changed that yet.

So, please, apply your vast knowledge and help me get my poor car straight!

(anything you need to know, ask. I'll be here for a while)

Yarg, that would blow mightily. Well, glad I didn't order my exhaust yet I guess. My purchase is going from preventative maintenence/upgrade to repair. Fun stuff, lol.

dude i hear ya, but you can still upgrade while your replacing things. if your suspension components are bad look into maybe some lowering or drag launch springs ya know. the only reason i got a granatelli maf and fuel pump is because i had to replace my stock stuff. so its all good

Oh hey, good call. In regards to suspension, how much of that could I concievably do myself? I'd like to avoid paying out the *** for a shop to take care of it.

rears are easy, just need a spring compressor, fronts let a pro do then get an alignment done

Yep, what arch said... make sure you get a spring compressor they could be deadly if you try prying it out.

You can actually lift the rear end high enough to just pull the darn things out. No need for a stupid spring compressor and the rental or purchase charge. Just jack the car and disconnect the sway bar. If they are stuck as well....what a perfect time to replace!

there should be tension on them, if they come out with that tension kiss the wall goodbye if lucky if not your new name is limpy, safety first or stay out of the garage period

What are you talking abou Arch? What's not safe about this? I took mine out without spring compressors, and I set the new ones in just as gently. As about this wall thing, what are you talking about. Seriously man, use punctuation, I can never tell when you end a sentence, or think before you type. Grr, yet another thing that gets on my nerves....

there should be ternsion on the springs, when a spring comes out it's under alot of force, and will go through a brick wall, if you choose to do something as stupid as not use safety precaustions you have no business working on a car. Why risk it for a $10 tool? (if there's no tension then they are junk, now put a new oone in and not have it lined up perfect, you could be killed)

hmm... I'm gonna avoid the whole dying with a spring through my chest thing. Rather than try to do the back myself as well, I'm just taking the whole thing into midas. I'm paying around $400 total for shocks struts springs and alignment, assuming that is what the problem is. Next step, find a full time job, lol.

that's not a bad price you have a couple hundred in parts around $60 for alignment so $140 labor is not bad
