New Pads?

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum.

I have an 02 Camaro V6, 27K miles. Brakes started squeaking a little recently. Think it's time for new brake pads? Also, any ideas as to the best ceramic pads (at a decent price, though!).

Thanks!

yeah mine have started jittering. my pedal kinda moves n stuff, i just did the fronts so i suspect its the rear.

as far as rotors go, the cheap valucraft from autozone work fine, but the cheap valucraft pads suck, they squeak so bad. the duralast gold are what i have, theyre great. if you want, the morse ceramic are really good, but not worth it IMO.

and a squeak doesn't neccessarily mean the pads are shot, could be they got over heated, or weren't installed correctly, or are just noisey

Thanks guys,
The brakes don't squeak each time I brake...they squeak a bit most times though. This has only started recently - not more than the past 1000 miles.

try doing a panic stop from about 30 mph that may clean off a glaze that's built up, don't ride the brakes, and let the engine slow you down
