yea ive heard good things about the nexon tires, they will be better then my worn out Firehawk tires, ( I still love those tires ) yea they should be awesome, I just cant wait till I get my tires, I hate Goodyear/BFgoodrich tires. Bridgestone/Firestone is what I trust. But having a cheaper korean tire is ok with me.

Thanks for the help Arch, you make re insuring a lot better with your knowledge and info.

though Ive always noticed my car goes to the right a tiny bit more then the left..so im sure its out of alignment a tiny bit...not even noticable unless I let go of the steering wheel and no road is perfectly straight.

Well I can honestly say that my BFG KDWs are some of the best gripping tires I've seen, and I've had Michelins, Goodyears, etc. in the past. Dry and wet traction is great with these, I have been thoroughly impressed.

a slight pull to the right is normal on paved roads (most are sloped towards the shoulder)

The wider tires in the front will follow road variations a lot more. Its the nature of having that much tire in the front. My car did it with the 275's on the front both before and after the alignments. I finally went out and bought a set of 245's to run and that helped out tremendously.

And to all of you who say, "Well I need the 275's in the front for when I corner." Well I have driven my car thru the twists and the front end has never stepped out, its always the rear end. So unless you are running 315's in the rear and autocrossing, there is no reason in my book for running tires that wide. I personally don't like the feeling of having tires that wide in the front..

I was kinda wondering about that too. I'm running 17x9.5 ZR1 wheels front and back just like what are described through this thread. I'm running Yokohama 275/40/17 front and back. I've checked my alignment and tracking, and they are right on. My car is STILL squirrely on the highway. I was thinking that it was the way Colorado highways are set up with the rain grooves, but... I've noticed it all around. It is safely manageable up until you decide to race the car. I don't know about everyone else, but my suspension is tight enough to hop the entire car on a bump in corners. the squirrely front end characteristics only worsen the situation. So, if there is a fix for this, please share.
Would going to a Z06 style 19 back, 18 front setup help?

If your car is hopping in a corner then I would say you need to check your suspension. Going up in size in the rear is only going to make your hopping worse. A shorter sidewall tire will even stiffer which will give even less.

If you want a nice low car then you have to deal with a harsh suspension. If you want your car to handle like a cadillac then sell it and buy one. 4th gens were never meant to have a nice plush ride.

If you want to eliminate the car 'darting' around on the highway, get rid of those 275's in the front. Run a 245/45 and it will make a world of difference. I have driven my car plenty hard and everytime its the back end that comes around, I have yet had the front end wash out on the street- 245's are plenty up front unless you are autocrossing.

my 275's dont cause my car to do what he says it does on the highway...mine are just fine other then following the contour of the roads sometimes, Brakes are fine, handling is fine, I get a little bit of wheel hop around a corner or maybe its my LSD, but thats normal, some suspension upgrades would or might fix that, maybe the 2 point sub frame connecters are in store for my Camaro.
