Cause when you turn and your ps is low it makes a low pitched grinding type of noise. Brakes will be squeeling noises.

From an auto tech point of view, you should check your fuilds every time you gas up. Just put the pump on auto fill, and do it while you wait. Spend 5 mins, or run it without oil and crack a head, the choice is yours

That works great if you dont have assholesz inside that will switch off the pump if you walk away.. which is everywhere I go.

because if you read teh signs it is illegal to leave the pump. Really when you wash the car you can check fluids (you do clean under the hood don't you?) you may want to try a synthetic oil (full synthetic like mobile 1) they are less likely to burn, and last longer (among other benefits)

Yah I know its illegal.. Another reason I dont walk away. It seems kinda stupid if you think about it, what if the pump just happened to slip out... ooops haha.

I know I can check the fluids.. I just havent done it lately, or had time. Ive been walking places now and driving less. Ill probably do it tomorrow since its my day off after class.

I thought its not good to switch to synthetic with high miles? Im almost at 105k now.. I wanted to do that, but I thought Ive read places not to.

Its not a good idea to switch to synthetic at high miles. It can cause oil leaks and other problems. I dont like synthetic oil period.

i dont care if its illegal, i do it all the time. ive never gotten mine shut off on me

off topic but funny---at work this summer i was filling up a quad axle dump truck with fuel and walked inside to talk as usual. came out and the auto-shutoff sensor didnt kick in haha. we had to suck up over 70 gallons of fuel. it was so funny!

secondly, paar you have time. takes like 30 seconds. or you can do the usual and make 4 threads on what the best way to do so is

and third, i like synthetic. ran it in all things that i care about (my bikes). in older cars (and this is just my opinion) i think its better to run a little thicker oil. helps quite them down and fill in the wore out spots.

i run cat diesel engine oil in my car. runs like a champ! starts rough in the winter but she purrs with no noises

that is the furthest thing from teh truth I have done it on cars with 200k with no problems, there is a reason every corvette since synthetic was invented came with it from teh factory. Oil can't cause leaks at all, what synthetic does do is clean the crap out that is blocking seals making current leaks appear more prominant. You can switch at any time it won't do any damage it will probably help your engine more (dyno oil causes sludge, and some brands will get solid I have seen it on a new vehicle where the dyno oil wouldn't drain and the stick read full, third oil change and only 6000 miles on the vehicle)

Probably cause you have trucks that are like 40 times taller than you are. A little harder when your car is 4 feet tall, with a big *** window for them to look out.

Like I said, I dont drive my car much, so I really have no reason to check the **** everyday. Go back to a bike forum jakass.

Anyways, I checked it today and I was a quart low... I have 2k left before I need an oil change. So either my cars burnin like a ****, or Merit chevrolet ****** me over. And Im starting to think the latter.. The oil does not look by any means new. Ive only driven it 1000 since the change I guess I really havent checked what it should look like, but it looks like when I change it 2k later. I really wanna go back and *****, since it took them an hour and a half to do it anyway.. appearantly.

On a side note, what color is PS supposed to be? I got some stuff today that was like clearish blue, and the stuff Ive got in there now is like brownish orange.

I think im gonna also change the PCV valve, and probably get my coolant system flushed soon also. Just do a little preventative maintnence to make myself feel better.

Check by the exhaust pipe, you might have an oil leak by there, but it burns it before it can drop to the floor.
That happened to me like a year ago.
