Did the switch today and I'm running royal purple now. Frist time I cranked the car you tell their was a difference. The engine is now basically silent and I no longer hear the lifters. With the hood open all you hear is the belt spinning and the cat back. Me and a friend changed the oil in bothof our cars at the same time and I noticed the 10w30 Castrol synblend is thin like water while the Royal Purple I used was very thick lile a heavy weight oil. Only thing that kind of ticked me off was that drain plug got stuck while it was pouring so my hand was covered in oil. The GOJO chemical gloved I had worked great excpet for only the bottom part of your hand is covered while the the rest of the hand is covered by a mesh. So bascialy the oil soaked through the mesh and covered my hand my hand, nothing a GOJO fast whip couldn't take care of.

the thing is castrol is the only oil company to not have a principle supplier of oil, they buy from the lowest bidder so you don't know what you get (they can't even tell you what oil they have)it breaks down faster since you have so many different additives in teh bottle
