archemedes street rep is low. keep going
some pads will squael especially the high metallic ones (performance pads are high metallic) add some anti squal to the caliper, and back of pads, while it's apart see if tehre is a gloss to the pads, if so do a panic stop from about 25 and stop driving like a woman and riding the brakes (let the engine slow you down when possible and brake only when needed and not real hard)

Arch said it before I could.

I've personally been happy with my Hawk HPS pads, good pads with no squeaks with a nice set of slotted rotors.

i have drilled/slotted rotors that have worked pretty good i warped likt 3 sets of stock rotors but i got this ones from gripforce brakes and they work really good but unless u get ceramic pads they squeak like hell

I just purchased some Wagner Thermoquiets for the front and rear. I'm going with the cheap $8 rotors too, no point in spending a bunch of money when a ZO6 brake upgrade is down the road.
