how far do you want to go? i would for a nice dayle driver, ls6 intake, 78mm NW 78tb, smooth bellow, slp maf, good air lid, pacesetter lt's.Y-pipe, catback, ls7 clutch, good tune, this should not be so expensive but you will have another car,

if you want more, buy a cam, for a seruis dayle driver, 224cam or maybe the patriot 226/226, 230+ if you want real power or buy a head/cam package

about the loudmouth,

i installed the LM1 in my car, stock cats and manifolds, the sound was awesome! loud and brutal, then i took the cats and the rear 02's, it got a little louder but wery good sound,

now i am installing my new cammed/head motor, with pacesseter lt's no non catted Y pipe and the loudmoth, and.. for fun i tryed to scream through the full exhaust and man.. the scream was just as loud and the other end lol..

Since I will be using this as a DD, I will prob stick with SLP CAI, lid, smooth bellows, Granatelli or SLP MAF, maybe 78mm TB, and again maybe an ls6 intake (trying not to kill the gas mileage too bad)
Thanks for the feedback on the exhaust. This pretty much makes my mind up for going with LM cause I've heard way too much good stuff about it. The order these upgrades will go in is prob LM, CAI and lid, and then I may look at some suspension stuff and brake upgrades. Later on when I get out of college I will prob go more extreme with a cam and heads.

i think you dont have to worry about gas milage with the ls6 intake, you see the 01/02 cars cam with it orginal, one of my best pals got an 02 car with full exhaust-lt's-Y-pipe,slp maf/lid/ls6 intake, and that car gets just about the same gas milage as mine did when my one was stock

Wow I didn't know they came stock on 01 and 02s...I guess you learn something new everyday lol. Right now mine is bone stock (with the exception of a K&N air filter and the flowmaster that's on it) and I get about 21 to 22 mixed driving (we're not really in a city, but still kinda stop and go) and about 24.5 to 25 on the freeway. If at all possible I would like to try to keep something similar to this gas mileage because with gas prices jumping upwards of $3 a gallon it saves me green lol. What kind of mileage does your friend get?

Technically speaking- doing those mods to your motor can actually help your mileage since you are making it more efficient. Your city mileage will typically suffer some, but your highway should be the same if not better. Once you get into running gears and raising your RPM's then your mileage will start to suffer.

I had a custom made exhaust on my car with no muffler before, this year however I'll be running long tubes, ORY, TSP Rumbler and a CME

Cool...my car is an a4 so I know my mileage will prob suffer a little more than ppl with m6s, but I actually thought the CAI, lid, and exhaust might help, I just wasn't sure about the intake. This is really useful info, and it seems like I'm learning something new everyday on here lol.

well... i dont understand mpg gas milage numbers here whe count in liters per kilometers, like my car was using about 16 liters of gas on 100km's, thats about 4 gallons per 64 miles?

i dont understand how you guys can talk about high gas prices here whe have to pay 8-10$ for the gallon, and its not so diffirent in most europe countrys, after the war in iraq gas prices went crazy..

about mods, my opinions are.. save more by more.. get bigger bang in one, i would try to save up for package, so you can realy feel the diffirence, and buy things that match to one another,

when i try to talk siriusly i find it a little hard to find or spell the words i am trying to say.. so there migth be alot of wrong and mispelled words..

No prob I get the idea lol...as far as mods go, I'm thinkin I'll prob buy the SLP "Flo Pac" and prob LM exhaust as my first upgrades. Then after I save some more money, I'm prob gonna look at maybe SFC, slotted and cross drilled rotors and Hawk pads, and STB. I don't wanna overconcentrate on one area, I wanna try to be balanced in both suspension and engine mods. I really just want a really nice DD that has a mean streak if I need it lol.
