GN's are by far the ultimate sleeper, and on another note, it seems to me that all the turbo kits for LT1's and LS1's have layed down alot higher numbers on the dyno than Superchargers for both, respectively, although i'm sure there're things you loose i.e. DD ability, with a turbo-charged LS1/LT1. Personally I love the sound of a supercharger.

How would you lose daily drivability? There is one thing people forget when turbocharging their cars, and that's TUNING.

Plus, consider this, you're not making boost until you're in the higher RPMs, so how are you losing the daily drivability aspects, like fuel economy and street manners?

the big thing with an aftermarket turbo kit (as well as a supercharger) is they don't send the guy who knows how to make it work correctly in the box. Both do the same thing just different means to the same end

That's why research and planning is so important before doing one of these undertakings. It took me a good month and a half before I finally concluded on all the parts I was going to use. And the funny thing is, I still find myself learning more and changing components periodically (like fuel delivery, etc).

I SAY turbo all the way, greater power than a super at the same v.e. level, less parisitic loss than a blower ,more horsepower potential and more power upgrades compared to a blower, and the bird sound from the bov if the car is SD type efi, also the hiss from the turbo itself.i would not put a bov on a lt1/ls1 car especially a 6 speed, it would lose to much boost in between shifts, also your afr and tune would be off and your performance would suffer drastically because the bov would be venting off pre-measured air on a maf sensor efi. i use diverter or bypass/recirculation valves on ls1 turbo/ centrifugal blower projects. i think its a mistake to use bov on maf if ur serious about making power and bein kwik.

the parsitic loss thing is a farce now (the new vortechs lose about the same as a turbo with the same pressure)There are guys running superchargers making more power than they did with a turbo, and vice versa. The big thing is if you don't want to do engineering (you want to bolt parts on and go) then turbo will work better, if you don't mind making stuff work correctly and think the aftermarket only does half the job (ie a hot rodder) then it is personal preference completely
