Swapin a 350 into 3rd Gen?

Would any 350 motor swap into it, once i get 350 mounts, basically what im askin is would i have to look for a 350 out of only a camaro or could a 350 out of a truck work well enough. Im going to fully rebuild the motor, from the block up.

if you plan on putting a t56 in a third gen you have a lot of work to do if its going from an auto. if its already a t5 it wont be as hard. look on ebay. or here...if you have money http://www.fbodymotorsports.com/new_transmissions but yeah any 350 will work. i have a 4 bolt 350 bare block. interested in buying it?

What are some engine rebuild kits, i have been looking at this one that RPM Machine has and was wondering if it was worth getting, bc blue89vert has that bare block, im just looking to get it running before putting any performance parts into it. The block is out of a 71 k10. Is this what im looking for?

Summit and Jegs have some decent rebuild kits. Basically all you have to know is if the block is pre-86 or 86-later. That is going to be your biggest difference in the block. There are other minor things from year to year but nothing major.

Plan on spending around 3k to do a mild rebuild, 4-5k if you want a somewhat performance built motor.

If your in a rush just get it running if not just take your time and work it up how you want it, you wont regret it in the long run.
