t-top leak fix?

t-top leak fix?

anyone know how to stop the t-tops from leakin? im bout to get the car painted and after i start drivin it im gonna put a system in it and i dont want nothin gettin wet because im removing the rear seats and my sub box is gonna go all the way accross there and im sure it'll get wet if the tops leak.

yeah, weatherstripping would help. Sometimes, though the t-tops just have a tendency to leak.

They sell a roll of weatherstriping at advanced that goes over what you all ready have it is round and I think about 10 feet long it is sticky and about a 1/4 inch thick it should stop any leaks unless they are rusted.

replace the seal with new gm stuff, then keep it clean get subframe connectors that weld in

they can be made to not leak, but you have to have the subframe connectors that weld bolt ins flex, apply a thin bead of vaseline and the leak may stop also

Mine dont leak but then agian I dont have a motor with enough tourqe to warp anything. So I will be sure to get those before the 350 goes in!!!
