Time for Head
Alright.... so anyone ever replaced their own head? What am I looking at as far as costs go... Just cause the place that she is at now wants to charge me $3600 to replace one head... and honestly I don't think that is worth it considering I only paid $6000 for the car, and have put twice that into repair bills in the past year and a half...

it's not too hard if your mechanically inclined, pull the intake, and anything attached to teh head, and it's off. Get a service manual for teh valve lash instructions, and specs

sure. i mean i've swapped heads on my car before...i did the heads and entire valvetrain, took me 4 days straight. with just one head i can probably do it in a single day if i work fast. which side is it? and do you already have the head or do you need to purchase a new one?

1650 for a le2 package and then if you know a mechanic thats not trying to **** you im sure you could get it done for like 3 or 4k at least thats my guess on both. Am i wrong guys

Heads aren't that hard..
here are the hardest parts- taking the egr stuff off the back of the intake and pass manifold and the coolant tube that connects the two heads together.
Other than that its just time consuming...
