The machine I have is a really old hunter, but I figure I can do it all the same.
If you could find that book, I might just do this to my car before I goto this autocross thing, then of course fix it afterwards.

The type of alignment you would want to an autocross track wouldn't work for DD, it would wear your tires horribly. To put it simply, you want your tires to lean in slightly so that as you into a corner and the car leans, your outside tire then has full contact with the road giving you better traction and it won't wash out as quickly.
