Timing???
Ok I mentioned in other posts that my car has been running bad and has a rumbling noise I changed the plugs tonight and the idle still jumps around and I also took all the belts off and cranked it, it still has the problem. It is starting to stall now If I am not giving it a little gas. The coil, rotor, cap have all been replaced. So I want to check the timing before I buy a new set of wires. But I have a couple questions.
I dont have marks on my timing chain cover where can I get the bolt on timing marks
Also what should my timing be set at it is a 305 H.O. I am not sure what the cam specs are if that matters I can call jasper motors and get them.
Thank for the help!

Ok I went out and just turned the Dis. clockwise about 1/16 or a little more to where it idles now but if you get behide the car and listen to the exhust about every 3 sec or so there is a miss or pop I have not driven it yet but I hope it works better till I can get the timing marks and if I need them wires.

on your core support (the radoator shroud actually) there should eb a sticker with teh recomended timing, it will also tell you if you need to disconnect a wire. How long has it been since wires, I replace mine whenever I do plugs

like 6,000 miles but I was thinking maybe the insides of the wires came apart when I was changing the plugs last time? Do you know where I can get the timing marker to go on my timing chain cover
