the viper internals are the only ones worth doing really, unless you get a deal on vette internals (they can handle almost as much torque as the viper, but a ton more than the fbody)

most places don't touch them because the fbody one is so weak (rated for 300 ft lbs torque according to an article I have)

check salvage yards for decent pricing on the internals, otherwise you pay an arm a leg and part of your neck for them new

so i just my tranny rebuilt with a z06 clutch and reverse it still really hard to get it into, i read that it could be the skip shift was put on the reverse soleniod? is that true.

also when in neutral with the clutch out only when out. i hear a spinning noise from the tranny any ideas?

thanx

thats possible im not sure though. the only time my car is hard to get into reverse it if my car is rolling forward. not positive why yours would do that. probly the skip shift

I doubt they are switched..even if they were it wouldn't be active under the circumstances of trying to put it into reverse, unless of course you try and do it while going between 10-20 mph..

As far as your spinning noise, I know that earlier f-bodys would have that when they put 'vette clutchs in their tranny's. As soon as the clutch was depressed it would go away though. Not sure if this is what you are talking about.

As far as hard going into reverse, I would always just rock the shifter back and forth from 1st and 2nd then back into reverse- what you are doing is stopping the internals from still spinning which is what can make it hard to get into reverse sometimes.
