Angry transmission

****** tranny is shot... i need to find a good replacement for it. since im going to be replaceing it i guess i could go with something that is reliable for a daily driver but good on the drag strip as well like a fixed up 4L60E. i also need advice on a stall and shift kit. any info that you can give me will help. id prefer to stay with a automatic 4 speed. if anyone knows a good tranny company or has ANY info they think may help please post it or pm me!!!!!

tci makes a real good trans, some of the independant shops do great work, check at any local speed shops they should be able to tell you who the racers use

Since at work I'm always in contact with the local shops I asked around one day (for the heck of it) how much it would cost to have my tranny rebuilt if it ever went out. The prices for a good rebuild are almost stupid high, I rather just buy a TCI tranny and ask my dad to help me install it.

If my tranny goes, i'm either swaping a T-56 in it, or going with a Rock-On Transmission from the guys at Rock-On. Seems that their 4L60E's are holding well into the 700rwhp range for hundreds of passes. Also, how much power are you looking to make in the future? Do you plan on spraying it? Do you plan on putting a huge cam in it? Do you want a real small amount of looseness? All this goes into play when searching for a stall, but the best research you can do is actually getting in a stalled car and riding/driving it.
