transmission mount

poly usually just refers to the material so instead of rubber, polyurethane (or however u spell that) and yea easy change and once u see the bottom of ur car u will know what it is

The material that they are made of last about ten times longer than rubber. The transmission will not feel as mushy and will not move around as much as well. Whenever you are replacing bushings (tranny, motor mounts, control arms...etc.), polyurethane is a good alternative to the stock pieces mainly due to longevity and an overall stiffer better handling car.

Polyurathane absorbs torque much better than stock too... making it harder to break.
It's real easy. It's pretty much right in between the tranny and the crossmember. 2 bolts go through the crossmember and through the mount.
And yeah, autozone has Energy Suspension poly mounts... Not sure about shucks or checkers or whatever.

Can you pick up poly ones from any auto store, or do you have to order them up online?

The Energy bushings also have metal bars that interlock between the poly, so if for some reason the poly does rip it still will hold the transmission unlike the stock one which will just rip and then you get to watch your shifter move up and down everytime you step on the throttle.

So yeah was under my car this past weekend and my mount is definitly ****** haha.. It looks like it crushed in on inself... just looks bad. I gotta fix that... as well as a few other things. Looks like money will be going into the car for repairs in the coming paychecks.
Anyone know prices for the poly mounts? Should I just ask for a generic one, or are they specific to model?
Also where do I jack up the tranny.. I just dont wanna crush ****.. or is this more of a lift job?
