So I was turning right onto a major street today as i was waiting to turn the car just shut off.. i put it n P and started right up... it also did it was i was parking my car slightly on an angle in my garage... what could this be from? any ideas>?

on an uphill angle or turnin angle?

And by shut off I assume you mean just like you turned the key off. Sounds like there might be a short somewhere, possibly in the column that allows the wires to cross and shut off the ignition, but could be other things as well.

does it lose power or just engine shut off? if just engine maybe ignition switch is the culprit. see if turning the wheel while siting still makes it happen

I just did it didnt shut off or loose power.....It shuts off completely

it has done it in a drive threw sharp turn and sitting at a stop light

I duinno tony- this one sounds a little weird..it def. sounds like elictrical though- and by dead, do you mean everything goes dead or just the car dies with power still going to accessories..

This is strange, what do you do to get everything to turn back on? Just put it back in park?

yep park turn the key off and back on imgood 2 go, havent checked it out ive been sick

while sitting hit the steering column and see if it happens. I wonder if the ignition switch isn't going bad
