U-Joints
Well my U-joints were going out and we had a big storm coming through so I took that time to replace the old U-joints. I did'nt know but to get the old ones out I had to heat the teflon type glue and get it out.. it was not difficult! So I took the time to sand the driveshaft down and paint it. Here are some pics! Sorry about the blurrlyness! They looked good when I took them lol.

It wasnt too hard at all other than having to take the U-joint out twice cause, They gave me the wrong clips what an ordeal... But they were easy to replace once you burn that teflon glue out of the straps on the driveshaft. Yeah I wanted to get it put back in also but I had some other things to work on also so I just went ahead and painted it.

Yeah they were sqeeking... My buddie had the problem he just did'nt fix it and it took the whole tailshaft off his car when it broke lol... We were also racing across a local bridge (1/2 mile or so) doing about 120 lol alot of smoke!!! So I did'nt want that to happen to me!!
I just used a socket about the same size as the U-Joint to knock it out. But I have heard it is better to use a vise?? The hammer worked just fine for me! You will need torch like for sodering a pipe, Thats what I used to burn that teflon glue out it sqirms out like a wirm once it gets hot enough. You will know when you get all the glue out cause my old joints were loose not fall out by themselfs loose but tap with a hammer and they come out. Also don't put the U-joint on anything burnable cause they stay very hot for a long time! It makes a very big mess also when all the pins fall out with the gresse.
