(Update) 67 SS RS

Well, got some sorta expected bad news. My dad had a body guy do a quote for his '67. The grand total to get it into paint is $18,500 . OUCH. That doesn't include interior or motor. :banghead: . I'll post some pics of it currently and you guys let me know if $18,500 is necessary. For a comparison $3-4k for sheet metal.

There is a great deal of sentimental value in this car since my dad has owned it since he was in the 11th grade. It sat for about 20 years and he now decided it is time to fix it up finally.

Personally I would love to fix it all ourselves but neither me or my dad know much about body work and paint. We will do the interior, motor, suspension, rear end and what not. Thankfully the car had a beautiful muncie 4 speed .

that price sounds about right to me. Might wanna check around. If theres another shop by you im sure you could get some money off if you do the whole, "well this shop told me so and so price" . Lotta labor needs to go into that car.

Indeed. There is alot of knowhow, sweat, and time involved. I've had a 69 rs ss shell sitting behind my parents house for about 5 years now lol.
