Used Carrier

I'm looking into getting a used LSD soon but I was told a used one might not be a good idea since the clutch/springs may be bad. Is this true or is a used LSD nothing but the most awesome idea for only $100?

might want to try getting used parts like that from a company. or get a whole used rear end. Niceroc got a complete rear end for 300 bucks and its been working great for him. However might jsut wanna go new then u dont have to worry.

it's posible the parts are worn, but a rebuild is fairly cheap (especially compared to a whole new unit)

are there any kits that offer new springs and such, like how they sell new kits for gear swaps?
