well i like LT1s and LS1s with open exahusts but thats me, anyways i can see what you mean by some cars sounding like crap without mufflers but i just think thats more the 4 and 6 bangers.

and also you cant really tell chads car doesnt have an exhaust on it. especially if you watch the speed inc dyno day video, his was one of the loudest/best sounding cars there, just sounded like a Borla or something, isnt that basically what a borla is, is straight through?

either way i would go with the hooker cat back, i like the sound those mufflers make.

Sorry about the late reply but my IROC had a older cat-back system on it, which was the Edelbrock RPM series cat-back system on it and i think it sound pretty good, but i also had a gutted cat. Just my 2cents.

I don't even know what catback my car has. lol, on there when i got the car. but it sounds better than every other 3rd gen around here

there is a book on all the regulations for US built vehicles including materials used, the bumpers, the glass, bumper height, lights, and a bunch of other things

just those by itself i cover, sept for the brake lights lighting up brighter when i push the brakes. But yes techincally no mine is not street legal. Could i get away with driveing it on the street...if it was a lil quieter probably.

you have emissions issues though (kit cars have lower emissions standards than the manufacturers, which is how many european cars get in teh country)

in Cali i do, but from what a little bird told me a lot of states dont even check, basically just sign a paper that says you havent tampered with anything. Wrong?
