anyone can afford insurance on a v8, just tweak your liability coverage and drop your collision and comprehensive. i figure i drive safely, i dont plan on causing any accidents, so why bother covering myself.

sure someone can easily hit me or something, but then it would be their insurance covering me.
....HOLY S#!t, are you guys kidding? Ok, so I finally found one advantage to being my age. (Well, there's more but that's a whole other subject ) I have the same record as you Caleb, 1 accident and 2 tickets and I only pay $386.00 every 6 months.

i only pay 113 a month for insurance and i have 4 tickets one for "exhibition or acceleration", criminal excessive speed and just a normal speeding one, and one for my tint. wow my record kinda sucks for 19 lol, but luckily that stupidity is out of my system

dude, thats a crime. in september of this year, the accident and one of the tickets will be off my record, so hopefully i will see a decrease. i'll probably have to call and speak to the supervisor though. stupid insurance companies rape us.

Dude....back when I was about 23 and driving my 69 SS/396 Chevelle, I got my license suspended for 30 because I got 14 speeding tickets, in 18 months. (well 2 of those were "excessive acceleration")

Yeah, I know what you mean Caleb,......and I'm just like you when it comes to collision and comprehensive. I mean I drive it a little faster than the average joe, but nothing that makes me feel like I'm ever going to cause an accident.

If there's gonna be a wreck involving my car, it will be because of the other driver, so I haven't payed for Comp or Collision in about 5 years. I just have Liability & Theft. (even though I have 3 alarms)

Oh yeah, the other reason it's that low is because I've been with the same Insurance Company for about 15 years, so they give you discounts for that too.

My bad, thought they had them in previous years... But GMs RS ended in 97...

Heres what I was looking for before, I found it. This should help you out:

96-97 there was a rs from gm, it was basically just a fully loaded v6 with a body kit and wing
01-02 there was a rs made from slp, it had-stripes,bowtie grill, dash badge, and Z28 takeoff exhaust. it also had the options of Zr1 style wheels and a suspension package

98-02 gm had a body kit that they called the sport apperance package, its exactly the same as the 96-97 rs kit minus the front end pieces

alot of people put rs badges on their 98+ v6s, its been a trend since about 2002. My convertible is almost a exact replica of the 01-02 rs kit

Also, they only came in red and silver. (I have heard of blue, but never seen it)

99.99% of all 98+ RSs are posers. I have seen thousands of f-bodies at shows, on the road, and at gtgs.

I have only seen one genuine 98+ RS.
